An Interview with Three Sisters Winery Wedding Venue- All You Need to Know!

Congratulations on your engagement! If your dream is to have a beautiful winery wedding here in the Okanagan, you’ll LOVE learning more about Three Sisters Winery, a winery wedding venue in Penticton, BC. I had the privilege of interviewing Three Sisters Winery, here is our conversation. You’ll learn everything you need to know about this gorgeous venue.

Describe your venue & its style.

Okanagan winery with a rustic feel. The facilities found at this winery wedding venue include an outdoor ceremony space with views of Okanagan Lake, Penticton, and its surrounding vineyards. You can host an intimate reception in the tasting room, or a tent can be set up to host a stand-up canapé or sit down reception for up to 300 guests.

Our tasting room is an open space concept, with wooden overhang and a beautiful raw cedar countertop. The Picnic Patio is the perfect space to hold a reception, with a large event pad with access to wifi and electrical outlets.

The owners of Three Sisters Winery got married here originally back in 2017, they have transformed the area into an incredible venue space. Say “I Do” nestled next to beautiful old vines with a picturesque view.

What makes your venue unique?

Our view of course! We are overlooking both Okanagan and Skaha Lake.

What is generally included in a package?

Wedding packages include the tasting room and/or the picnic patio area, and a reduced price on all our wines.

Prices vary depending on peak season or off season, how many guests and what access you need for the venue.

How many people can you accommodate?

Up to 300, with a special events license.

Can I have my rehearsal here? How about a brunch the next day?

Yes, the event coordinator can arrange a time for rehearsal.

There has yet to be a brunch at Three Sisters, but we try to be as accommodating as possible, so it never hurts to ask!

How early are you booking in advance?

 Usually around 1 year.

Do you offer catering services along with your venue? Even if you do, do you allow clients to have the option of using an outside caterer instead?

We do not have a commercial kitchen, nor restaurant at our winery. You are more than welcome to select the catering of your choice, there are plenty of incredible local options.

Are any chairs, tables, silverwear, glasses, tablecloth etc included or must they be rented/ purchased separately?

Since we are a small boutique winery, we are not able to supply any tableware, tables, chairs etc. Your wedding coordinator will be able to offer you different local companies to rent from.

Are you licensed to service alcohol, including hard liquor?

We are licensed, however for weddings you will need a special events licence.

Do you provide a bar service? How does it usually work?

We do not provide bar service. Our space is to be rented out and you are welcome to work with either your wedding coordinator or a local company and they take over our “bar” area.

Do you offer overnight accommodations? If not, do you have any recommendations?

We do not offer overnight accommodations, the Penticton Lakeside Resort is just down the hill from us. A safe ride home using shuttle transportation is always recommended.

Is the site accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes, we are wheelchair accessible, including having an accessible washroom.

If any further assistance is required, please contact us or your wedding coordinator.

How long can the venue be rented for?

From 4-11pm, anything earlier will have an extra fee. Prices vary from time of year.

Do you have rain backups?

Framed anchor tents are set up with a wedding coordinator, depending on the amount of guests. We do not supply tents, typically it is rented with a third party company.

Is there parking for guests?

Yes, we have two parking lots available for guest use. However we strongly recommend using a shuttle.

Is there a space for the bride & groom to get ready on site?

We do not have an indoor facility that would be private enough.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?
