This mountain is HUGE and you definitely need to designate multiple days to explore.

There is a also a very fun skating loop trail that goes through the forest. It is lit up at night and there is a fire pit- such a fun experience! With affordable rates and accessible terrain, Apex a favorite among local families.

5. Baldy Mountain Resort
For a more laid-back skiing experience, Baldy Mountain Resort near Oliver is a fantastic choice. Its uncrowded slopes are ideal for beginners, and affordable lift tickets make it a budget-friendly option. Families can also enjoy tobogganing or snowshoeing, rounding out their visit with plenty of winter adventures. This is our mountain of choice. We personally love that there is never a line up for the lift, and everyone knows our kids by name.
